Billy Wayne Davis

August 18, 1932 - October 28, 2013

Billy Wayne Davis, 1932-2013, passed away October 28, 2013. Bill was born in Gouldbusk, Texas in Coleman, County. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dolly Mae Hale and Cecil Ray Sanders and is survived by his wife of 61 years, Ruby Louis Davis; son: Joel Wayne Davis of Ozona, Texas; daughter: Shelley Lynn Davis of Del Rio; and brother: Larry Ray Sanders and family of Midland. Bill Davis and family moved to Del Rio in 1974 where he was the manager of J. D. Ward & Sons Propane Company. Bill also managed propane companies in Odessa, Rocksprings, and returned to Del Rio in 1986. Bill had spent his younger years as a Ranch Manager and cowboy in West Texas where he met his loving wife of 61 years, Ruby. Bill loved to make furniture and do wood work and was very talented at his art. His character, morality, intelligence and all of his other traits will be truly missed. A Memorial chapel service to celebrate his life will be held on Friday, 11:00A.M, November 1, 2013 at G. W. Cox Memorial Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Reverend John Cary.
