Glennavell “Blondie” Walsh, 87, passed away July 20, 2014 at her home in Del Rio, Texas. She was born October 29, 1926 in Norton, Texas. She is survived by her daughters: Beth Lackey and husband Thomas Ray, Kaye Taylor and husband Larry and Faye Walsh; son: Robert Walsh and wife Stacy; five grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; and also numerous friends. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert :Bob: Walsh in 1990. Blondie lived in Del Rio for more than 60 years. She retired from Beall’s Department store with 30 years of faithful service. She attended the First Christian Church and enjoyed hunting, fishing and bowling with her family and friends. She played dominos every week at the First Baptist Church. Throughout her life she maintained a sweet and simple demeanor that won the hearts of many. Her signature gift of a Life Well Lived was shown through her smile and laughter, and will forever be missed by all. A Celebration of her life service will be celebrated on Friday, 4:00P.M, July 25, 2014 at the First Christian Church, Del Rio, Texas. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Oaks Cemetery. Pallbearers are Billy Foster, Ted Luce, Bo Hutto, Kelly Goble, Ray Slover and Burt Stidham. Honorary Pallbearers are Ross Foster, Tuffy Whitehead, Mary and Jr. Roberts, The Domino Club (Merrily Mature), Howard Baughman, Yolanda Banks, Peggy Watkins and Toby Anderson.
