Lina S. Mc Donald, 86, passed away May 23, 2016 in Del Rio, Texas. She was born 15 July 1929 in Honea Path, S. C. to John Henry Smith and Sudie Smith. She is survived by 4 sons: Michael of Laporte, Texas; Tony and wife Mary Ann; Billy and wife Janet; and Jimmy, all of Del Rio; 11 grandchildren: Dana, Michelle, Amber, Brian, Tiffany, Dustin, Heather, Adam, Ryan, Christopher and Kaitlin and 11 great grandchildren: Mckenzie, Landon, River, Oliva, Emily, Stella, Kaellum, Kallie, Emma, Jaxon and Ava; one sister: Sadie Hannah of Greenville, SC and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, 12 sisters, 9 brothers, 1 grandson: Todd and her beloved husband, Tooter. She was raised and attended schools in S.C. before marrying Ludolph "Tooter" McDonald and moving to Texas in 1954. Lina was a member of the First Baptist Church of Del Rio where she taught 6th grade girls in Sunday school for 15 years. She was a member of the Val Verde Regional Auxiliary for over 20 years. The family would like to give a Special Thanks to Mrs. Carmen Gomez for the 15 years of unselfish care giving to our Mom. Pallbearers are Dustin, Brian, Adam, Ryan, Chris McDonald and Keith McDonald-Marsh. Honorary Pallbearers are Freddy McDonald and Eric Scott Ross. Visitations will be on Friday, 6-9:00P.M, May 27, 2016 at G. W. Cox Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral service will be on Saturday, 10:00A.M, May 28, 2016 at the First Baptist Church with Ben Craver officiating. Interment will follow to Sunset Memorial Oaks Cemetery.
