MARGARET ELLEN GILLIAM MORRIS – Margaret “Peggy” Ellen (Gilliam) Morris, 67, went to be with her Lord unexpectedly on December 30, 2021 at Val Verde Regional Medical Center in Del Rio, Texas. Peggy was born June 18, 1954 in San Antonio, Texas, the daughter of the late Dorothy Bell (Grissom) Dissler and the late James Luther Gilliam, Jr. On August 4, 1995, Peggy married Joe Lynn Morris, he survives in Del Rio. She was a cherished and beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many. Peggy, a homemaker after many years of working in insurance, was a lifelong resident of Del Rio. She adored her grandchildren, was a lover of nature and an avid animal lover, especially horses, dogs and all wild things. Above all, she loved Jesus Christ, our Savior. Peggy will be lovingly remembered for her contagious smile and vivacious laugh. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. In addition to her beloved husband of 26 years, Joe, she is survived by her loving daughter, Kristina (Clark) Schilling and her husband Jason, of Spring, TX; two precious grandchildren, Peyton Millie Kilgore and Kai Michael Powell of Spring, TX; brothers, Will (Sue) Gilliam, of Aransas Pass, Sam (Angie) Gilliam, of Sabinal, TX, Randal (Carol) Dissler, of Del Rio, Clay (Regina) Dissler of Del Rio, and Lucas (Mariana) Gilliam, of Del Rio; sisters, Katherine Dissler Lindley of Austin, TX and Elaine Dissler (Toby) Coggins, of Del Rio; special nieces and nephews and many other extended family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father, John Dissler. Memorial Service will be set for a later date.
