Mary Louise Pierce

September 10, 1959 - October 15, 2018

Mary Louise Pierce, age 59, was called home to meet her Maker on Monday, October 15, 2018 while at the Main Methodist Hospital, located in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on September 10, 1959 in Vicksburg, MS. Mary Louise was devoted to working with people that were in need of love and care. She had a special calling for comforting those with terminal illnesses. Mary found that within the Del Rio Community as well as with terminal patients in Mexico. She also served with several Church Ministries, Relay For Life, the International Good Neighbors Counsel, the Cancer Patient Center at VVRMC, and Hyundai Hope on Wheels. She loved working with one and all. In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling but always kept in close contact with friends and family. Mary Louise also loved working with potential candidates, representatives and political causes. She volunteered with countless churches and leaders of all faiths. Preceding her in death was her father, Paul Kenney Jr. Surviving family members include her beloved husband of almost 18 years, C.J. Pierce, of Del Rio; mother, Rosie Lee Kenney of Vicksburg; children: Naeasa Jones of Vicksburg, Nicole Jones of Hobert, IN, and Katrina Jones-Harmon of Hammond, IN; brother, Paul Kenney III and wife Brenda of Vicksburg; sister, Chevonne Allen of Galveston, Tx; Mary Louise is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Friday from 1 to 3 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 8:30 a.m. at the Living Stone Worship Center. Burial will follow at Sunset Cemetery. In lieu of traditional remembrances, donations may be made to the Relay For Life in honor of Mary Louise. Arrangements will be handled by G. W.
